We are so lucky to have Stephanie in town!!! A number of us have lamented the lack of a Pilates class in the Sunapee/New London area, and now Stephanie has arrived!!! The studio is new, clean, and well equipped. It is easy to make appointments and she offers discounts for signing up for multiple classes. She is knowledgeable about anatomy and takes great care to offer just the right amount of challenge to be effective and not so much to be daunting. I’ve been doing Pilates for over 15 years at studios in various cities including Seattle, Tucson, Denver and New York, and Stephanie’s Pilates classes are up there as some of my favorites. For me, Stephanie has been the ideal Pilates instructor. She has a warm and encouraging approach, and also a great amount of expertise. She is especially skilled in knowing how to modify or adjust movements for participants with various physical limitations. 1. Strengthens core muscles. Pilates trains us to identify, isolate and strengthen deep core muscles. When the core is strong, the frame of the body is supported, and risk of injury diminishes.

This creates imbalances and movement patterns that, over time, can cause pain and limit our range of motion.
